A former prison, it became a hotel in 1957, just in time to host royals, celebrities and VIPs for the Brussels World's Fair. Hotel Amigo is looking for an Executive Housekeeper. Heading up a dedicated, hard-working housekeeping team, you will ensure flawless running of the department, integral in ensuring our guests experience the high levels of comfort and quality they expect from the Rocco Forte name.

And as a key member of our management team you will lead by example, drawing on your outstanding communication and leadership skills to ensure those high standards are met by your team

Your key responsibilities

As a valued part of the Forte family, you will:

·         Monitor Housekeeping staff to ensure guests receive prompt, cordial attention and personal recognition.

·         Supervise the Housekeeping team to ensure optimum cleanliness

·         Monitor Housekeeping to ensure known repeat guests and VIPs receive special attention and recognition

·         Actively participate to service recovery

·         Schedule and regularly conducts routine inspections of areas under his/her control

·         Know system recovery procedures

·         Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance and posture of departmental employees

·         Conduct comprehensive departmental meetings to include a review of current & new procedures and events which warrants special

·         Communicate to his superiors all information likely to be interest to them

·         Maintain all procedures and adheres to them within the Rocco Forte Hotels guidelines and company values.

·         Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards

·         Being attentive to guests and taking appropriate action to recover guest’s complaints

·         Accurately and promptly fulfilling guests requests and anticipate guests needs.

·         Keep abreast of trends in his/her area and implement best practice initiatives.

·         Plan for future staffing needs

·         Prepare detailed orientation programs for new staff

·         Ensure training needs analysis of his/her departmental, deliver training programs and maintain records for all direct reports

·         Actively work at developing his/her direct reports and identify high potentials

·         Conduct probation and formal performance appraisal in line with company guidelines

·         Approve leave requests after considering peaks and troughs in the business

·         Regularly communicate with staff to maintain positive relationships

Who we are looking for

·         Fluent oral and written proficiency in English and French

·         Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

·         Available starting April 2026
