Hotel Amigo is set among the cobbled streets of Brussels, just around the corner from the picturesque Grand Place, one of the most beautiful squares in the world. A former prison, it became a hotel in 1957, just in time to host royals, celebrities and VIPs for the Brussels World's Fair. Although much has changed since then, we remain true to our name - our team is friendly, warm and waiting to greet you.

The Position

Do you have an eye for detail and an innate understanding of how to design and deliver a spectacular event? Are you ready to bring your skills and experience into a new role at a leading luxury hotel? Then we’d love you to join us at Rocco Forte Hotels as Groups & Events trainee.

Part of the Group & Events Department reporting to the Group & Events Manager.

• Assisting in managing all groups and events of the hotel as soon as the contract is signed, plan all the operation details directly with the customer and ensure a smooth coordination with the Operation teams

• Very organised, structured person with a strong sense of anticipation

• Ensure that customers’ expectations and operational possibilities meet and results in a profitable event with very high service level.

• Smooth coordination of groups bookings including communication within all concerned departments (C&E, Reservations, Sales, Front office, F&B, etc.) and weekly banqueting meetings.

• System is updated as much as necessary with all the details.

• Keep accurate track and information of all business On the Book and be able to estimate impact on forecast.

• Plan effective and efficient follow-up and organize site inspections with clients/prospects if necessary.

• Draw up Function Sheets, Group Sheets and menu cards if necessary, and ensure their distribution.

• Welcome groups, manage groups on-site in coordination with the Banquet Operational Team and make sure set-up and services meet expectations.

• Provide operational support when needed
